Well, I’m on an airplane – using the Internet. Don’t worry, I am not like Alec Baldwin. I purchased some wireless time, after the plane took off, which is completely legal and in fact encouraged by the airline.
I don’t have all that much to say. Life has been kinda mellow these past few days. Mellow is a great thing!…however, not for blogging purposes. I haven’t read the news in a little while, so I spent the past half hour on the airplane catching up on what’s going on in the world. It’s really quite depressing. Some college football coach has been raping young dudes, a chick from Long Island was found dead, someone murdered a 7-year-old-girl…what the hell is going on ? It’s pretty scary. I feel like people have been way more violent and disgusting lately than usual. Is that just me?
Finally, after a bunch of horrible shit, I found something positive. Guns n’ Roses have officially made it to the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame. I was actually listening to them the other day and thinking about what an awesome band they were, so I’m glad they are going in there. The Beastie Boys are also apparently going in there too, who I think are OK – but not nearly as deserving as Guns n’ Roses. The Red Hot Chilli Peppers were also inducted in, and I can’t stand them…however, I see why they made it in there. I just don’t personally like their music. Especially all the newer stuff.
A few people did not make the cut – some bands I didn’t care for, but The Cure was one of them. This bummed me out. I definitely think The Cure belongs in the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame over The Beastie Boys. They also passed on Joan Jett which is also incredibly lame. So unfortunately, the one piece of positive news I was able to find on the Internet, was actually not so positive after all.
Robert Smith and Joan Jett – I would like to induct you into my very own JoannaAngel.com Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame. Screw those idiots at the hall of fame. What do people from Cleveland know about music anyways!?
