So I came home, and in about one hour I unpacked my camping bag and then packed a porno convention bag- then got picked up to go to the airport. The packing for this trip was a little confusing because this was a “business to business” convention. I was not signing, or selling movies… I was speaking on panels, to other people in the porn industry. How do you dress like a girl who owns her own Alt Porn Company, and performs in her own movies, but knows what she is talking about? Not quite sure. A summer dress from H and M seemed to scream all these things… I think?

Coming here straight from camping led to one big problem. My toes very much looked like hiking toes, and not like educated porn star toes. So before I spoke, I woke up early and indulged in the hotel’s overpriced spa and got a pedicure. I should have taken a before and after picture but… I didn’t. While I totally trust all my fellow blog readers, I don’t know if we are quite at that level yet for you to see my crusty camping toes. Maybe one day… but not now… particularly in a recession.

Here is the result of the pedicure that cost about $40 more than what I usually spend on a pedicure. It does look pretty sweet.

I was asked to speak on three different panels.

One was about building a brand with social networking- a fancy title for a panel that should really be called “talking to a bunch of old fashioned people about twitter.” Another was about niche marketing where I shared a panel with someone from JT Stockroom, someone from Good Vibrations, and the transsexual superstar Wendy Williams- that one was a lot of fun!

The other panel was about a very scary law that could get passed one day where all websites associated with porn would be forced to have a .XXX domain name.

Stuart Lawley from ICANN (the registry that controls domain names) has spent over 10 millions dollars on this campaign, and has tried to convince the media- and even a lot of people in porn that this could be a positive thing. He claims that this will “protect children” and be something positive for porn consumers… but it’s very obviously a way for him to make a shitload of extra money and put every pornographer/ porn retailer on the web into a ghetto, and make us all look extremely illegitimate.

The .xxx domains will supposedly cost $60 per domain.

Your average porn company owns about 500 domain names… that adds up really quickly. It can also seriously fuck with the way porn sites appear in Google and Yahoo search engines. I could go on and on- it would NOT be a good thing, and I hope the Free Speech Coalition is able to fight this. If you care to read more about this you can at http://dotxxxopposition.com/.

Anyways- here I am on the panel with Diane, the president of the Free Speech Coalition, Colin Rowntree the webmaster and owner of Wasteland.com, Christopher O’Connell a chief programmer for Mikandi.com, and Michael Klien, the president of Hustler. It was quite a group!

Well, this weekend at LA Exxxotica was um… interesting.

Quite honestly, it was a little empty. Conventions in general this year have been a little bit slow, and the people who are at the conventions seem to be more excited by what I refer to as the “porn circus” then porn itself. I call the porn circus things like, girls sucking on penis shaped lollipops, or getting really excited to take a picture of a stripper’s butt on your friends head, or some kind of fake orgasm contest, or involving yourself in some kind of “what kind of porn star are you!” game. It is a shame because I spend so much time and energy on thinking of ideas for what types of scenes to shoot, or writing scripts for movies, and just pairing people and booking all the different aspects of our shoots- but I might have to start putting some amount of effort elsewhere and think of some weird kitchy ideas we can market if I want to stay in business. In other words- I will have to join the circus! I have some ideas. I’m not exactly proud of them but, they shouldn’t be too difficult and hopefully can bring in some extra revenue. Ahhhh man. I sound like such a dorky business woman!

In any case, I thank everyone greatly who did come out. I appreciate your support and i will continue to provide sexy entertainment for you!

But aside from that depressing stuff- I got to hand out with Kleio a lot this weekend.

I made a movie about her called “Crushing on Kleio” because well… it is so hard to not have a crush on her. She is so adorable. She spends most of her time in Texas, and doesn’t really travel other than when she comes to LA to shoot. She joined me, Jenna Haze and Draven for sushi on Saturday night – and when the menu came, Kleio looked at it completely perplexed. I asked her what she was ordering and she told me she had no clue what anything meant as she had never eaten sushi before. I forgot- that cowboys don’t exactly grow up eating pieces or raw salmon!

We all taught Kleio how to use chopsticks, and I ordered plates of rolls, and different kinds of Sashimi.

She tried them all and wasn’t sure which one she liked best. I found it incredibly entertaining…. at the end of the evening she was covered in rice, and drops of soy sauce wound up on her shirt. People in LA eat sushi several times a week. I have overheard conversations at the gym that involved two big muscular guys debating over which sushi place on the same block is superior to one another…. and that shit gets HEATED! Being around someone who was so oblivious to the world of uncooked fish was refreshing, and cute, and fun at the same time. In exchange she offered to take me to some kind of BBQ place in Texas where people wear bibs and eat things with their hands. I want to go there and shower in homemade BBQ sauce!!

Here I am at the 2010 Warped Tour!

I have been to a lot of warp tours in my day. To think that the first time I ever went- there were no energy drinks sponsoring the tour! Crazy.

Well here I am! Wooohoo!

The BurningAngel superstar and my good friend Jessie Lee helped me tag up the back of um… something. I can’t remember if this was a trailer? Or someone’s booth? Or just like, some kinda board. Whatever it is- we put my picture on it. It is almost as exciting as some Attack Attack shirts, and “indie power”.

So last weekend I was in Vegas with AVN. I went back home Sunday night and then turned around and came back Tuesday morning for the Xbiz show. 2 back to back parties where Vegas was taken over by porn stars!

I sort of feel like a big two timing slut being here for one one week and the other the next although I’m not sure whose girlfriend I am and who I am cheating on. Hmmm. I don’t think id mesh well being in a serious relationship with a porn news company so maybe I’m just casually fucking both of them and neither of them can say anything about it because were not in a committed relationship.

Much of these events have been outside so I have spent a lot of time at the pool. I am not really so good at being by the pool. It’s so hot, I start sweating. Some girls are really good at the “pool” look and somehow pull it off as fashionable. I look very frumpy in all those revealing pool dresses and my skin HATES chlorine, and my hair never dries right when it gets wet. A big porno pool party is actually, kind of a nightmare for me but… me and my target bathing suits are trying to make the best of it!

Aside from the pool, I did have a good time over the weekend. AVN hand picked 10 girls to do some promotions for the awards show in January. read the rest of this entry….

This morning was a hellish morning!

I was in the middle of packing for vegas this weekend (Yessss@ I am going to The Vegas with AVN for some bikini pool party extravaganza fest thing) and my phone fell. My phone falls a lot but this was it. My phone had taken too many falls and it was like “Yo, I’m done!” and it stopped working.

I called T-Mobile in a frenzy and they basically told me to “Go fuck myself….”

So then I decided to switch to Sprint. This is not such an exciting story…. but its all I have to say for now.
