Those awards are voted on by um…an academy of sorts – a bunch of people who work at AVN along with a few other people who work in the adult industry. Those awards, we can’t really do much about! We just have to cross our fingers and hope for the best.

I started off the year with a guest appearance on Adult Swim’s “Children’s Hospital”!…

And then I traveled to Vegas for AEE…and won THREE AVN AWARDS, including Best Solo Site…

In March, the JESSIE VS. MISTI DVD Release party was super fun…especially because the cast of the original Beverly Hills 90210 was there!

AND I spent a lot of time this year traveling to my favorite place in the whole universe…BROOKLYN!

I was nominated for an XRCO Award for “BEST GONZO MOVIE”, but knew I wasn’t going to win because they forgot to list it on the Nominations Program…

I got a new tattoo…of a woman I admire very much…LADY LIBERTY!…

AND I developed a bit of a crush on a fat celebrity chick that wasn’t Oprah…

I had the best sex I’d ever had…Thank You, Manuel Ferrara!…

By June, I had won the TLA Raw Award for “Best Starlet Blog” (of course!)…

I continued on with the year by eating one of the best meals of my entire life at 4 AM in a gas station in Pennsylvania…it was a fine-dining culinary experience at SHEETZ…

And I celebrated what is really important in this country on the 4th of July…

I made out with a bartender while in Chicago at the BurningAngel Exit party…I had no recollection of it whatsoever…

Jenna Haze ate a hamburger.  And I think she liked it…

And in September, I celebrated the Jewish New Year in NYC with all my fellow Jewish friends…

I did DOUBLE VAG for the first time…

And for Halloween – as usual – I created a porn video masterpiece for JoannaAngel.com…FUCKENSTEIN!

2011 AVN Fan Award time!

Sometimes I feel little guilty that my blog is  shameless self promotional plugs – but being able to show the world that I can get the same awards as other porn stars who have been in tons of mainstream production porn movies that sell a gazillion more copies than mine do, and have huge tits tits and blond hair…. Well, whatever. I know I don’t have huge fake tits, but I totally do everything I can to make my movies fun and exciting to watch.

I took some time off from blog posting… as I have been going through a whole lot of nonsense in my life. When it rains, it pours… and I’m not quite sure if I should let all that pour into my blog. The nonsense seems to be clearing up a little bit. I’m trying to keep my head up. Fortunately- Jessie Lee is doing a lot better. On a brighter note- I did have a great Thanksgiving full of nothing but laziness, family, and pumpkin pie. Unlike what most people assume a pornstar’s family to be, mine is completely wonderful. They gave me all the right support that I needed right now. Blah blah blah- sorry. This is supposed to be a happy post and not a sad one. So I must shift gears!

Right before Thanksgiving the AVN nominations were announced.

The entire BurningAngel umbrella was nominated for 20 AVN awards this year!

I am quite thankful for that. I don’t know if I will win anything or not, but I will just cross my fingers and hope I bring home something. I will admit- I was a little upset I was not nominated for best anal scene. Of all the scenes I have done in the past year- only 3 scenes were not anal, and two out of those three were the ones nominated. Ha! Is this a sign? Should I stop putting things in my ass?

Just kidding don’t worry. Me and my ass will remain penetrated.

I feel like every year around this time we are always rushing to hand in some epic movie.

This Year’s BurningAngel Epic – Joanna’s Angels 3.

You see, in order to be considered for AVN nominations- your movie has to be in stores before September 30th, which means it has to be shipped out sometime around the 20th, which means it has to be at the replication plant around like, the 10th and all the other crap that has to be done to make a DVD has to be done like… well… now. Right now we are rushing to hand in Joanna’s Angels 3 so it will make the cut (Follow up to Joanna’s Angel’s & Joanna’s Angel’s 2). It is being edited by someone I consider a cinematic genius who goes by the name of Eli Cross (http://twitter.com/eli_cross) . He has directed some very well known adult movies such as Corruption and Upload. They were quite different from BurningAngel movies, but very well done nonetheless. Anyways, he hasn’t really slept since last Monday because he has been up all night every night trying to get my movie done.

Joanna’s Angels 3 is about Me, Draven and Kleio trying to stop a very serious douche-bag epidemic.

Evan Stone is the cause of all the douche-baggery going on, and at the end of the movie he breaks down and explains that his evil doings was because of a very traumatic childhood memory with him and his father. This segues into a flashback with Evan and his father. When casting the movie, I thought long and hard about who the hell could play young Evan- or old Evan and couldn’t think of anyone appropriate. Then I called Eli and said “hey- do you know how to do that split screen thing where the same person could be on both sides of the screen playing different characters? Like in Back to the Future pt. 2!!” And of course he knew how to do it because he knows how to do everything. So young Evan and Evan’s dad were both played by Evan, and I think it is one of the most hilarious things I have ever shot. Eli knew how excited I was about it so he sent me a screen shot from it.
