I feel like every year around this time we are always rushing to hand in some epic movie.

This Year’s BurningAngel Epic – Joanna’s Angels 3.

You see, in order to be considered for AVN nominations- your movie has to be in stores before September 30th, which means it has to be shipped out sometime around the 20th, which means it has to be at the replication plant around like, the 10th and all the other crap that has to be done to make a DVD has to be done like… well… now. Right now we are rushing to hand in Joanna’s Angels 3 so it will make the cut (Follow up to Joanna’s Angel’s & Joanna’s Angel’s 2). It is being edited by someone I consider a cinematic genius who goes by the name of Eli Cross (http://twitter.com/eli_cross) . He has directed some very well known adult movies such as Corruption and Upload. They were quite different from BurningAngel movies, but very well done nonetheless. Anyways, he hasn’t really slept since last Monday because he has been up all night every night trying to get my movie done.

Joanna’s Angels 3 is about Me, Draven and Kleio trying to stop a very serious douche-bag epidemic.

Evan Stone is the cause of all the douche-baggery going on, and at the end of the movie he breaks down and explains that his evil doings was because of a very traumatic childhood memory with him and his father. This segues into a flashback with Evan and his father. When casting the movie, I thought long and hard about who the hell could play young Evan- or old Evan and couldn’t think of anyone appropriate. Then I called Eli and said “hey- do you know how to do that split screen thing where the same person could be on both sides of the screen playing different characters? Like in Back to the Future pt. 2!!” And of course he knew how to do it because he knows how to do everything. So young Evan and Evan’s dad were both played by Evan, and I think it is one of the most hilarious things I have ever shot. Eli knew how excited I was about it so he sent me a screen shot from it.

Just when I thought that porn conventions were coming to a depressing end- Chicago restored my faith. It was awesome! Thank you to everyone who came out to see me. read the rest of this entry….

Well, this weekend at LA Exxxotica was um… interesting.

Quite honestly, it was a little empty. Conventions in general this year have been a little bit slow, and the people who are at the conventions seem to be more excited by what I refer to as the “porn circus” then porn itself. I call the porn circus things like, girls sucking on penis shaped lollipops, or getting really excited to take a picture of a stripper’s butt on your friends head, or some kind of fake orgasm contest, or involving yourself in some kind of “what kind of porn star are you!” game. It is a shame because I spend so much time and energy on thinking of ideas for what types of scenes to shoot, or writing scripts for movies, and just pairing people and booking all the different aspects of our shoots- but I might have to start putting some amount of effort elsewhere and think of some weird kitchy ideas we can market if I want to stay in business. In other words- I will have to join the circus! I have some ideas. I’m not exactly proud of them but, they shouldn’t be too difficult and hopefully can bring in some extra revenue. Ahhhh man. I sound like such a dorky business woman!

In any case, I thank everyone greatly who did come out. I appreciate your support and i will continue to provide sexy entertainment for you!

But aside from that depressing stuff- I got to hand out with Kleio a lot this weekend.

I made a movie about her called “Crushing on Kleio” because well… it is so hard to not have a crush on her. She is so adorable. She spends most of her time in Texas, and doesn’t really travel other than when she comes to LA to shoot. She joined me, Jenna Haze and Draven for sushi on Saturday night – and when the menu came, Kleio looked at it completely perplexed. I asked her what she was ordering and she told me she had no clue what anything meant as she had never eaten sushi before. I forgot- that cowboys don’t exactly grow up eating pieces or raw salmon!

We all taught Kleio how to use chopsticks, and I ordered plates of rolls, and different kinds of Sashimi.

She tried them all and wasn’t sure which one she liked best. I found it incredibly entertaining…. at the end of the evening she was covered in rice, and drops of soy sauce wound up on her shirt. People in LA eat sushi several times a week. I have overheard conversations at the gym that involved two big muscular guys debating over which sushi place on the same block is superior to one another…. and that shit gets HEATED! Being around someone who was so oblivious to the world of uncooked fish was refreshing, and cute, and fun at the same time. In exchange she offered to take me to some kind of BBQ place in Texas where people wear bibs and eat things with their hands. I want to go there and shower in homemade BBQ sauce!!

I should start a blog called “last month’s party” because I am really good at blogging about things about a month after they happen. It was a sign from the blogging gods above to write a new blog when my Heeb Storytelling Youtube clip got taken down for violating their terms of service. Grrr. The story was about finding god! How could they have taken it down!

Tomorrow evening (or actually tonight) I am going to Vegas to dance at the Penthouse club. I am excited…. I love going to Vegas. I love how cheesy and colorful it is, and how it is 24 hours everywhere. I am staying at the HARD ROCK HOTEL which I really do like. I have stayed there twice now. I like getting drunk and then walking around the lobby starring at weird old pieces of clothing that Rock Stars wore. I really need to pack- I have not packed. I also need to do laundry- but that isn’t happening. I don’t even know if I have any clean thongs to wear. I hope so. Perhaps I can just steal one off a mannequin in the lobby that like, Christina Aguilera wore or something.

Good things are happening in life. The BurningAngel network will be launching soon and I am just so excited. Now instead of being like, hey I’m Joanna Angel and I own a porn site- I can be like YO I’M FUCKING JOANNA ANGEL MOTHER FUCKERS AND I OWN LIKE 8 PORN SITES. I am going to start saying “yo” all the time and I am going to unlearn all the good grammar I learned in college.
