Holy frazzled

Well, I had scheduled in my calendar to direct a movie starring Asphyxia on Nov 16, 17, and 18. I booked everyone and outlined the movie and stuff; I still hadn’t finished the script though. I’m pretty bad at meeting my own deadlines. It’s kind of awkward, since I can’t really fire myself…but if I were not me, I would probably fire me. Or at least give me some kind of warning, or something.

Anyways, for some reason I was totally convinced that the 16th was a Thursday, and not Wednesday. I don’t really know how I did that, but I did. I figured I would finish up the script today in the afternoon (Tuesday) and send it off to everyone tonight, and go over the shit with the set designers for any last-minute stuff in the script on Wednesday – which would have us totally be ready to shoot Thursday morning. I woke up around 5 am, and looked at my phone, read that it said, “Tuesday – November 15th” , did a double-take, then realized…oh. Fuck. The 16th is TOMORROW and in fact not on Thursday.

So I jumped out of bed, made a retarded amount of coffee, and plowed through my script between the hours of 5 and 9 am. Luckily I had about half of it written, and a solid outline…but it was stressful. I don’t know what the hell happened to me! Fortunately I finished, and by the time most normal people were awake, I was able to send everyone a copy of it and go through everything. I’m sorry if this was an incredibly boring story. It was really exciting and crazy as it was happening. I wish I could have taught myself a lesson, and completed the crappiest script of all time so I would know not to do this again…but unfortunately, I’m quite pleased with the movie and I’m really excited to direct it. I’m not in this one! Just directing.

Maybe I should post some of my scripts on my blog one day for you guys to read. Would you be into that? Or do you prefer to just see pictures of my ass…
